The poppy has many sides… read to find out how this flower found way to fashion, design and many more.

The scientific name for Poppy is Papaver, which denotes ‘food’ or milk’ – due to the milky fluid of the flower’s pods. However poppy evokes a classical red flower in our mind, nature counts approximately over 100 species of poppy varying in the shade of red, yellow, orange…

In Greek mythology, Poppy is the God of Dreams – Morpheus – who was thought to have an ability to mimic any human form and appear in the dreams…

Captivating, simple and clean, this most popular wildflower has been broadly used for interior and exterior design, decoration… and even parfume industry.

The vibes of this flower has captured the attention of numerous artists, designers, couturiers… Have a look at the black-with-red-poppies coat created by Christian Lacroix for Desigual, or Sarah Jessica Parker a one-shouldered black silk dress with a draped train embroidered with scarlet poppies, which she designed in collaboration with H&M for the H&M’s high fashion line, or Poppy Delevingne wearing a stunning dressed finished with poppies…

DianaUlanova studio also couldn’t resist the temptation to address this flower…
